I saw recently a Bank Officers' Strike( yet another)!!!!) for more Pay and Less work and more Holidays and Lesser Working Hours and NO RESPONSIBILITY !!!!!!!!
When we consider that the Organised Labour ( i.e, employees who have strong Union) they get all they want with JOB SECURITY.
BUT in Multi National Companies, IT Companies - hardware /software/ BPOs!!!), Private Sector Companies What is the reality?
They are called Professionally Managed. But in reality Your Supervisor is a TYRANNICAL KING!!!!!. If he likes some one that Person gets promotion. if he does not like some one, hell befalls that Person. Right from being shouted at to lack of Respect from even the security at front The Staff is driven to madness and despair.
What is said in favour of employees of these Employers?
1. The Staff are very well Paid.
2. There is satisfactory Job Content.
3. There are perquisites like even Dating Allowance, Marriage Gift. Holiday Package etc
4. The Bonuses and Increments are mind- boggling. You need to carry a Sack to gather these and take Home !!!!!!
WHAT IS THE GROUND REALITY ?
1. The Staff are well paid BUT overworked also You have got to slave from 9 to 9 and late also.
2. There is no effective week end off. There are no effective Holidays including so called - Leave Travel Allowance Rule Leaave.How can u travel when there is no leave sanctioned?
3. Dating Gift and Marriage Gifts are OK, BUT many marriages are broken / or sinking for staff who gets harassed.!!!! Most guys and girls do not have normal sexual or romantic mood due to this PRESSURE - COOKER ATMOSPHERE!!!!.
4. It is utter non - sense to say that the staff gets satisfactory job content in most of the employments. The Stress of staying late on most staff is simply because they have to stay late just for the heck of it without anything productive to do at all such times!!!!
5. Touch Your heart and Say what is aht attrition rate amongst these staff? My Personal study shows that less than 5% actually stay longer than 5 years. So it is this Minority group that gets Bonuses, Increments etc. THERE IS LACK OF JOB CONTINUITY AND JOB SECURITY.
6. The Lesser said about the Supervisors of these companies the better. Most of these Supervisors have gone through this TORTURE or if they are lucky they get through IIMs!!! and then they think and ACT GOD to their sub-ordinates. The HR department does not get complaints at all from affected ( because the affected knows it is use- less) OR they get complaint and prefer not to act!!!!.
What are the harassment methods of these TYRANT SUPERVISORS?
A) Demand Sexual Favours, directly from female employees OR female relative of male employees!!!!
B) Shout at the unwanted staff about lack of competence?in the presence of all others . Attack through their personal- secretaries or assistants ( who would qualify to act SUPERNAKA Character if Ramayan were to be enacted today!!!!)
C) Not grant leave even when request is reasonable. Asking the staff to work over time even when there is no work.
D) Isolate the unwanted subordinate from the rest of the employee crowd and ostracise him/ her, besides constant humilation.
E) Verbal threats and veiled threats of physcial damage.
F) Tell all the vendors that the unwanted sub-ordinate had to deal with.
G) Starve the unwated subordinate of work completely.
H) Attack at the unwanted subordinate morality like calling him her/ impotent/ or immoral OR BOTH !!!! etc
i) Threaten that even for future employment elsewhere there would be bad reference from the current as well as past employers!!!!
MOST OF THE AFFECTED PARTIES YIELD TO DEMANDS OF TYRANT SUPERVISOR OR SUBMIT RESIGNATIONS OR SIMPLY ABANDON JOBS.
MOST OF THESE STAFF DO NOT GET FAIR COMPENSATION ON CESSATION.
WHAT IS THE SOLOUTION?

C) Get One Month Pay as Compensation for Termination ( IN ADDITION TO WHAT YOU GET FROM YOUR EMPLOYER AS PER APPOINTMENT ORDER!!!)
